Most mileage apps are cloud services with a tracking app attached. You make an account, and from then on the record of where you go lives on a company's servers, tied to your name and email, ready to be analyzed, sold, subpoenaed, or spilled in a breach. That is a lot of exposure for the simple job of counting your work miles.
PocketMile is built the opposite way. There is no sign-up screen because there is no account. Your trips, your saved places, your clients, and your work schedule are stored on your iPhone and synced only through your own private iCloud, the same place your photos and messages live. Nothing routes through us. We do not run a server that holds your driving, because we never wanted to hold it.
